Men's Golf To Compete In Alabama on Monday and Tuesday

The Arizona State men's golf team will compete on Monday, Oct. 15, and Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate at Old Overton Golf Course (par 71/6,958 yards) in Birmingham, Ala. The team will play 36 holes on Monday and finish with 18 on Tuesday.

Also in the field are: Alabama, UAB, Auburn, Arizona, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, UNLV, Oklahoma State, Texas and Wake Forest.

ASU sophomore Chez Reavie will sit out the tournament as he continues to recover from a wrist injury suffered this fall. Two players from Mesa will be in the lineup, as sophomore Kendall Critchfield and Jesse Mueller will both play.

ASU's only win in the Jerry Pate was in the fall of 1995, as the Sun Devils went on to win the national title later that year. Clemson has won the title the past four years.
