Men's Golf Finishes 12th In Alabama

The Arizona State men's golf team finished in 12th place at the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate at Old Overton Golf Course (par 71/6,958 yards) in Birmingham, Ala., on Oct. 15-16.

ASU sophomore and 2000 U.S. Public Links champion Chez Reavie missed the tournament as he continues to recover from a sprained tendon in his right wrist that he suffered early this fall.

ASU shot a 48-over 900 (288-299-313). Oklahoma State won the tournament with a 1-under 851 (286-280-285).

Also in the field were: Alabama, UAB, Arizona, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, UNLV, Texas and Wake Forest.

ASU will compete next at the Long Cove Collegiate Invitational on Nov. 7-11 at Hilton Head, S.C.
