Men's Golf Competes at Pacific Invitational

STOCKTON, Calif. - The California men's golf team wraps up a successful fall season on Oct. 22-23 at the Pacific Invitational.

The Bears finished in the top 10 in each tournament they competed in this season. Cal's top finish came at the Vandal Fall Classic in Idaho in which the Bears placed third. Junior transfer Scott Carlyle finished third individually at the tournament.

The most consistent player for the Bears, however, has been sophomore Peter Tomasulo. He's placed in the top 15 in all four tournaments and finished tied for second at the Husky Invitational.

The Pacific Invitational is scheduled to take place at The Reserve at Spanos Park, a par-72, 7,000 yard course. The 54-hole tournament will consist of two rounds, Monday with the final 18 holes, Tuesday.

Cal will compete in a 15-team field that consists of Coastal Carolina, Fresno State, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Nevada, Saint Mary's, San Jose State, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, University of San Francisco, Washington State and the host team Pacific.
