WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- OREGON STATE junior midfielder/forward Aaron McHardy has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 16-22, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

McHardy, from Vancouver, British Columbia, tallied five points on the weekend as the Beavers upset No. 20 UCLA and downed Western Washington in Corvallis. McHardy scored three goals and notched an assist in the 5-0 win over Western Washington Oct. 19. He capped the weekend with a goal in the 1-0 win over UCLA Oct. 21. It was OSU's second straight over the Bruins.

Oregon State (5-6-0, 1-1-0 Pac-10) travels to Stanford and California this weekend.

This is the first weekly honor for McHardy and Oregon State's second Player of the Week honor all-time.
