Welcome to the ESPN.com moderated chat room! On Thursday, October 25, Stanford All-American and NCAA champion women's swimmer Shelly Ripple will make a special visit to chat with fans about the 2001-02 women's swimming season. Ripple is coming off her best season yet as a junior when she won a pair of NCAA titles and the maximum seven All-American honors. Stanford, winners of six NCAA team titles in the 1990's, will attempt to return to the top of the NCAA Championships in Ripple's final collegiate season.

Ripple, who began her senior campaign by winning all three of her individual events in her first dual meet, won 17 All-American honors and four NCAA titles during her first three years on The Farm. She ranks among Stanford's all-time Top 10 in seven different events and is currently ranked No. 8 in the world in the 100 meter fly and No. 12 in the 200 meter fly.

She comes from an extremely athletic family in which her father, Steve, played linebacker for Louisiana State (1973-77) and mother, Jan, swam in the 1976 U.S. Olympic Trials in addition to 10 years as a professional triathlete.

While Ripple won't be stopping by until 1:15 p.m. PT on Thursday, feel free to leave your questions now and we will save them for her arrival.
