Women's Volleyball Falls to Arizona

TUCSON, AZ - The sixth-ranked UCLA women's volleyball team ran into a hot Arizona squad at the McKale Center in Tucson, AZ, on Friday night, falling to the seventh-ranked Wildcats 30-22, 30-22, 30-21. Ashley Bowles and Lauren Fendrick led the way for UCLA on the evening, as the Bruins fall to 11-5 (6-4 Pac-10).

Bowles and Fendrick recorded 16 kills apiece, with Bowles recording just six errors on 31 swings for a .323 attack percentage, and recorded two of UCLA's three service aces on the evening.

UCLA returns to action with three matches next week, on Tues., Oct. 30 at No. 12 Pepperdine, then at home with Pac-10 contests on Friday and Saturday nights against Washington State and Washington, respectively, at Pauley Pavilion. All three matches are scheduled for 7 pm first serves and will be broadcast live on www.uclabruins.com
