Huskies Grab Lead at The Nelson

Stanford, CA - The Washington men's golf team turned in a second-round score of 272 to grab an eight shot lead after the second round of play at The Nelson Invitational played at the Stanford Golf Course.

The Huskies stand atop the leaderboard at 552 followed by Toledo (560) and host Stanford (561).

Mackenzie and Prugh are tied with Toledo's Brad Heaven at five-under 137. Mackenzie followed his opening-round 69 with a 68 while Prugh shot 67 on Saturday.

Washington's other scores include a four-under 138 by John Robertson to tie for fourth place. Conner Robbins is tied for 10th at 140 and Gordy Scutt turned in a one-under score of 70 to move up to 35th place at 144.

The final round of The Nelson will be played Sunday.
