Thom Ortiz Hosts Fall Clinic For Coaches and Wrestlers Saturday

TEMPE, Ariz. - First-year Arizona State wrestling coach Thom Ortiz will host his first Fall Clinic for Coaches and Wrestlers Saturday, Nov. 3, at Tempe High School in Tempe, Ariz.
The day-long clinic features instruction by Ortiz, a three-time All-American and member of ASU's 1988 national championship team, as well as ASU assistant coaches Townsend Saunders and Aaron Simpson. Saunders was a two-time All-American at ASU, as well as an Olympic silver medalist, while Simpson was also a two-time All-American in a Sun Devil uniform and is a member of the U.S. national team.
Special guest clinicians include Glenn McMinn, a two-time ASU NCAA All-American, a USA Wrestling Coach of the Year and member of ASU's Athlete Hall of Fame, and Ray Miller, an NCAA champion, four-time All-American and three-time Pac-10 champion at ASU.
The clinic begins Saturday morning with registration from 8-9 a.m., and continues throughout the day with eight one-hour sessions from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A coaches' social will be held from 7-8 p.m.
