Arizona Women's Golf in Second at Hawaii Fall Invitational After Two Rounds

HONOLULU, Hawaii-The Arizona's women's golf team battled windy conditions Tuesday during the first and second rounds of the Hawaii Fall Invitational at Kapolei Golf Course, posting identical scores of 302, and sits in second place at 28-over-par.

Sophomore Lorena Ochoa paced the Wildcats as she carded rounds of 70 and 79 to finish day one at 5-over-par 149. The Guadalajara, Mexico, native is tied for fifth place. Junior Anne Lee also sits in the top-10 after two rounds. Lee, from Northridge, Calif., used rounds of 76 and 74 to vault into a tie for seventh place at 6-over-par. With rounds of 76 and 75, junior Laura Myerscough earned a share of 11th place.

Also competing for Arizona were senior Cathie Willimason and freshman Miriam Kraschinski. Williamson, from Shelby, Mont., stands tied for 37th place, while Kraschinski is tied for 47th.

Action at the Hawaii Fall Invitational concludes with Wednesday's final round.
