How Do You Prepare Before A Run? Do You Have Any Raceday Superstitions
I have too many superstitions! I prepare for every race exactly the same. I get up, shake out with my teammates, have a bowl of oatmeal and a power bar, listen to some fast music, and go to the course. I know when I am prepared before a run when I get a wave of perfect calmness. To me it isn't whether or not I can run the race, I know I can finish a 6k, the important thing for me is my mind, where is it, am I positive about running that day. The hardest part isn't always the race, but the mindset going into it.
