Arizona Men's Swimming Wins Exhibition Meet

TUCSON, Ariz. - The eighth ranked University of Arizona men's swimming team defeated the California All-Stars this morning with a final score of 116-87. The meet was held at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center on the University of Arizona campus.

The Wildcats placed first in all but two events, the 200y backstroke and the 200y breaststroke. Junior All-American Jeff Dash was an individual winner in two events, the 200y IM (1:53.44) and the 500y free (4:41.42).

Arizona opened the meet by winning the 400y medley relay with a time of 3:26.55. The relay team was made up of sophomore All-American Eric la Fleur, sophomore Greg Owen, senior All-American Roland Schoeman and sophomore Zach Ferguson.

The next outing for the Arizona men will be Nov. 30-Dec. 2 when they travel to Austin, Texas for the Texas Invitational.
