Women's, Men's Swimming Swept By ASU

The USC men's and women's swimming and diving teams were swept at Arizona State, falling, 162-138, on the men's side and 155-145 in the women's meet at the Sun Devil Aquatics Center on Saturday (Nov. 17).

USC junior Erik Vendt, sophomore Klete Keller and senior Tamas Kerekjarto all posted a pair of wins. Vendt won the 1000y free (8:53.66) as well as the 400y IM (3:53.55). Keller won the 200y free (1:38.19) and the 500y free (4:25.52). Kerekjarto won the 200y fly (1:48.58) and the 200y breast (2:04.40). Junior Jeff Lee also won the 100y fly in 48.89.

Katie Meyer won both back events for the women, taking the 100y back in 56.21 and the 200y back in 2:02.14.

Freshman Kaitlin Sandeno won her first event for the Cardinal and Gold, finishing first in the 500y free in 4:54.43.

Sophomore Jana Krohn won the 200y fly in 1:59.73, junior Asa Sandlund won the 1000y free in 9:58.40 and junior Jennifer Parmenter won the 50y free (23.68).

Freshman Blythe Hartley swept both springboard events and sophomore Nicci Fusaro was second in both.
