No. 19 Washington Upended By Badgers, 87-67

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Jessie Stomski scored 22 points and had 13 rebounds forher 25th career double-double as Wisconsin upset No. 19 Washington 87-67 onSunday night.

Kyle Black added 21 points, and Tamara Moore 18 in the season opener for theBadgers, who never trailed.

Andrea Lalum led Washington with 20 points.

The Badgers led 54-42 when the Huskies rallied four minutes into the secondhalf, keeping Wisconsin scoreless for a 9-0 run. The Badgers recovered controlwith an inbound pass from Moore to Stomski to put the score at 56-51.

The Huskies were within one at 56-55 after a timeout, but a Moore jumper anda drive by freshman Stephanie Rich made it 60-55 and started Wisconsin's drivefor the win.
