Mackenzie Tied for Ninth at Savane Golf Classic

El Paso - Washington sophomore golfer Brock Mackenzie turned in rounds of 69 and 73 to tie for ninth place after the first two rounds at the Savane College All-America Golf Classic in El Paso. Toledo's Brad Heaven and Clemson's D.J. Trahan each shot 132 to share the lead after the first 36 holes.

Mackenzie is one of 24 players competing for the champions at the top individual collegiate tournament of the season. The final round of play at the El Paso Country Club will be played Tuesday.
