The two road matches were originally scheduled in September but were postponed due to the Sept. 11 tragedies. The Women of Troy face Oregon State on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. in Eugene, Ore., then travel to Corvallis, Ore., to face Oregon on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. The Trojans are coming off a 3-1 (30-23, 30-12, 25-30, 30-18) victory over Oregon State on Nov. 15 and a 3-1 (24-30, 30-15, 30-17, 30-18) win versus Oregon on Nov. 16.

The Rankings
USC kept its position in the polls after last week's wins over Oregon and Oregon State. The Women of Troy are No. 5 in this week's USA Today/AVCA Coaches poll and the Volleyball magazine poll. Long Beach State and Nebraska, both of whom USC will not face in the regular season, hold onto the No. 1 and 2 spots on the charts, while Stanford and Arizona remain at No. 3 and 4, respectively.

Recent Matches
vs. Oregon State
-- With outstanding offensive contributions from April Ross, Jennifer Pahl and Keao Burdine, USC defeated Oregon State 3-1 (30-23, 30-12, 25-30, 30-18) on Nov. 15. Ross (17 kills, 12 digs) and Burdine (15 kills, 12 digs) both posted double-double performances, while Pahl led the team with a .522 attack effort (15-3-23). Sophomore Katie Olsovsky led at the net with five blocks on the night. USC out-hit (.313 to .205) and out-blocked (10.0 to 3.0) Oregon State, but the Beavers put forth a strong effort in the backrow, collecting 64 digs to the Trojans' 69.

vs. Oregon -- April Ross had a season-high 24 kills to lead USC to a 24-30, 30-15, 30-17, 30-18 win over Oregon on Friday (Nov. 16) in the Women of Troy's final regular season home match of 2001. Ross hit .477 and added four blocks and eight digs, while teammate Keao Burdine had 11 kills and 11 digs. Jennifer Pahl closed the final regular season home appearance of her career with a match-ending kill, had 10 total kills (hitting .350) and a match-best six blocks. Kelli Lantz came off the bench midway through the second game when Alicia Robinson sprained her ankle and recorded 10 kills and a .500 hitting mark. Overall, USC hit .340 to Oregon's .161 and had more blocks (12.0 to 5.0), digs (62 to 54) and aces (9 to 2).

Injury Report
Outside hitter Alicia Robinson sprained her right ankle midway through the second game against Oregon on Friday (Nov. 16). She will not travel with the team to Oregon State and Oregon (Nov. 20 & 21) but will likely be back practicing the week of Nov. 26.

It's De Ja Vu
For the first time in USC's Pac-10 or Pac West, history the Trojans will play the same conference opponents on back-to-back weeks.

NCAA Selections To Be Announced On Nov. 26
The NCAAs 64-team bracket announcement will take place at 3 p.m. EST (Noon PST) on Monday, Nov. 26. The 30-minute show can be viewed live on Fox Sports West 2. If USC is awarded a home site for the NCAA First and Second Rounds, the matches will be played on Friday (Nov. 30) and Saturday (Dec. 1) at the Lyon Center.

Pahl Notches 1,000th Career Kill
Senior Jennifer Pahl notched her 1,000th career kill with her 10th point of the night against Cal on Nov. 9. To date, she has accumulated 1,036 kills in her four years at USC.

Pahl Plays Last Regular Season Match at USC
Senior middle blocker Jennifer Pahl played her final regular season home match of her four-year career at USC on Friday, Nov. 16, against Oregon. Fittingly, she recorded the Trojans final point of the night on a kill and finished with 10 kills (.350) and a team-leading six blocks.

The lone senior on this year's roster, Pahl will leave USC as one of its top all-time middle blockers. A Pac-10 All-Freshman selection in 1998, she has earned two All-Pac-10 first team selections (1999 & 2000) and was named an All-American by the AVCA (second team) and Volleyball magazine (honorable mention) last season. Pahl likely will finish her career among the Women of Troy's top 10 record-holders in total blocks (380 to date), block assists (320 to date), blocks per game (1.06 bpg to date) and attack percentage (.353 to date).

April in November
April Ross has been the Trojans' most consistent performer all season, but the sophomore outside hitter has done nothing but improve her performances in November. In six matches this month, Ross has averaged a .358 attack percentage, 4.73 kills, 2.95 digs and 5.34 points per game. The dramatic increase is evident when you compare the numbers to her stats in October - a .220 attack percentage, 3.68 kills, 2.93 digs and 4.07 points per game.

Haley En Route To 800 Career Victories
With 793 collegiate career wins to date, head coach Mick Haley is just 7 wins shy of reaching the 800 mark. These career victories include the 251-51 record he garnered while at Kellogg Community College. His overall Division I record is 542-140-1.

USC Ends Home Schedule With Clean Slate
With wins over Oregon State and Oregon last week, the Women of Troy completed their second-consecutive season with a perfect record at home. On Sept. 21, a home victory over UCLA set a new mark for consecutive home wins (20) for the Trojans. To date, USC has won 29 consecutive matches at home, starting with a 3-0 win over Rhode Island on Sept. 6, 2000. USC's previous record was 19 straight home victories set between Sept. 25, 1976, and Oct. 19, 1978.

Oregon Connections
Oregon State head coach Nancy (Hillman) Somera is a former USC player (starting four seasons, 1985-88) and former assistant coach. Somera graduate from USC in 1989 and later earned her master's degree in education in 1994. She joined the Women of Troy coaching staff in 1991 and served as assistant coach to then-head coach Lisa Love for eight seasons. Her husband and current Beaver assistant coach, Ben Somera, was also an assistant for the USC women in the mid 1990s.

Olsovsky Making Mark In Record Books
With a .778 attack percentage (14-0-18) against Cal (Nov. 9), sophomore middle blocker Katie Olsovsky added another mark to the USC record books. This time her performance ranks second among USC's top 10. Earlier this season she hit .733 against the Bears on Oct. 13 - a mark which now ranks fifth in the record books. Last season she posted a .688 effort against Oregon which remains 10th on the charts.
