Women's Basketball to Take On No. 8 Texas Tech Monday

The Ducks (2-2) return home to take on No. 8-ranked Texas Tech (1-1) Monday at McArthur Court. Tipoff is at 7:07 p.m. This weekend Oregon travels to Lawrence, Kan., to compete in the Holiday Inn Jayhawk Classic. The Ducks will open Friday against St. John's at 4 p.m. and will play Saturday vs. either host Kansas or Alabama State.

The Oregon-Texas Tech game will be televised live on the Action Sports Cable Network, a new channel that will broadcast the game in regions of Oregon (Channel 54 in Springfield), Southwest Washington and Northern California. Ann Schatz and Cathy Nelson will provide the play-by-play. All Oregon women's basketball games also are broadcast by KSCR (1320 AM) in Eugene and KUIK (1360 AM) in Portland, with Ray Martin providing the play-by-play for the seventh consecutive year. Games that don't conflict with Oregon men's basketball broadcasts will be carried by KUGN (590 AM) in Eugene, KXL (750 AM) in Portland and KTBR (950) in Roseburg. Radio broadcasts also can be heard on the Internet at www.goducks.com.

Texas Tech leads the series 2-0, including last year's 79-75 win in an overtime thriller at Lubbock. The teams first played in 1986 at Eugene.
