ARIZONA junior guard Jason Gardner has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for November 8 - 25, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Gardner, from Indianapolis, Ind., played 119 of a possible 120 minutes in wins over No. 2 Maryland, No. 6 Florida and No. 22 Texas. In those three victories, he averaged 24.7 points, 5.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds.

Gardner posted back-to-back 23-point nights in wins over Maryland and Florida. For his efforts in those contests, he was named Most Outstanding Player at the IKON Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. In the win at Texas, Gardner scored a career-high 28 points and added six assists.

For the season, Gardner is shooting 22-of-42 (.524) from the field, 13-of-25 (.520) from three-point range and 17-of-20 (.850) from the free throw line.

It is the first weekly award for Gardner, the 54th all-time honor for the Wildcats.
