Pete Newell Challenge Offers Special Ticket Discount - Steal of a Deal

Oakland, Ca - The fifth annual Pete Newell Challenge, which takes place on Saturday night at The Arena in Oakland when Stanford meets Big Ten powerhouse Michigan State at 7:30 p.m. and Michigan faces USF in the first game at 5, is offering a Steal of a Deal! ticket promotion: Buy one ticket and get the second at HALF PRICE in all available price categories.

Last year's Pete Newell Challenge saw Stanford beat No. 1-ranked and eventual national champion Duke, 84-83, on Casey Jacobsen's jumper with 3.6 seconds to play. The game attracted a sellout crowd of 19,804, the largest crowd to ever see a college basketball game in California. Stanford and Michigan State will be playing for the first time ever in the Bay Area.
