UCLA Signs Two Junior College Football Stars

Ryan Boschetti, an All-American defensive lineman from San Mateo (CA) Junior College and linebacker Patrick Pierre-Louis, who starred at Glendale Community College this past season, have signed letters-of-intent to attend UCLA, head coach Bob Toledo announced today. Boschetti will enroll in January and Pierre-Louis will enroll in April. Both players will participate in Spring Practice.

Boschetti , a 6-4, 275-pound sophomore, was selected first-team Junior College All-American by J.C. Grid-Wire. In addition, he was rated the No. 2 junior college player in the nation by JCFootball.com.

A 1999 graduate of Carmont High School in Belmont, CA he was credited with 21 quarterback sacks during his two seasons at San Mateo JC.

Pierre-Louis, a 6-1, 225-pound sophomore, was selected Glendale CC's MVP on defense and was also a first-team selection to the Western State Conference Mountain Division team. On the year, he was credited with 49 unassisted tackles, 48 assists, six quarterback sacks and seven tackles for loss.

A graduate of Miramar (FL) High School, Pierre-Louis attended Citrus College during the 2000-2001 school year.

Both players will have two seasons of eligibility at UCLA.
