Stamford, Conn. - A total of 11 female student-athletes from ten different NCAA Division I schools comprise the 2001 Verizon Women's Soccer Academic All-American Team for District VII as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Walsh holds a 3.83 GPA in Japanese and Spanish. She also was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic First Team.
