THE NEXT GAME: Oregon State (9-9, 2-6 Pac-10) completes the Washington road trip at the University of Washington (8-11, 2-7). Tipoff is set for 7:07 p.m. from the Bank of America Arena.

ROAD SWEEP GOAL: A win Saturday in Seattle would give Oregon State its first conference two-game road sweep since defeating both Washington schools during the 2000 season (77-73 @ Pullman/74-57 @ Seattle).

BACK ON TRACK: Oregon State returned to norm by leading last Thursday. The Beavers now have had leads in 17 of the 18 games this season, and in the second half 16 times.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Oregon State won its first game of the year 2002 Thursday with its thrilling 74-72 win at Washington State. Guard Jimmie Haywood scored a career-high 23 points and made three free throws in the last six seconds to boost OSU to the victory.

SHOOTING SLUMP ENDS: Oregon State broke a combined three-game shooting slump of .374 with its .500 performance at Washington State Thursday. The team entered the week third in the conference for field goal percentage -- now at .466.
