No. 6 Cal Women's Swimming and Diving Defeats No. 11 UCLA, 159.5-140.5

LOS ANGELES, CA - The No. 6 ranked California women's swim team (7-1) defeated No. 11 UCLA (9-4), 159.5-140.5, Saturday at the Sunset Canyon Recreational Center on the UCLA campus. The Bears won 11 of the meet's 16 events.
Multiple event winners for Cal were sophomore Natalie Coughlin (50 free 23.21, 100 free 49.67 and 200 free 1:49.78), junior Ashley Whitney (1000 free 10:07.60 and 500 free 4:56.39) and sophomore Kyoko Yokouchi (100 back 56.76 and 200 back 2:01.22). Coughlin improved her record to 26-0 Pac-10 dual meet races.
Other event winners for the Bears were junior Staciana Stitts, who tied for first in the 100 breast (1:03.63), sophomore Kristen Sissener in the 200 fly (2:04.30) and freshman Amy Ng in the 400 IM (4:22.64). Cal won the 400 medley relay (3:47.11 senior Alice Henriques, Stitts, sophomore Natalie Griffith, sophomore Danielle Becks) as well.
