Bruins Tied for 10th after Round One at TRW Regional Challenge

The UCLA women's golf team is tied for 10th place after the first round of the TRW Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Course.

The Bruins posted a team score of 309, 25-over par, and are tied with Georgia. They trail Flordia by one shot and USC by three. They lead Michigan State by one shot.No. 2 ranked Tulsa leads the field after posting a team score of 283, one-under par. The Hurricane leads second place Texas by 14 shots.

Individually, sophomores Johanna Andersson and Krystal Shearer lead the Bruins with first round scores of 76, tied for 24th place. Sophomore Melissa Martin is tied for 41st at 78, followed by senior Alicia Um, who is tied for 51st place at 79. Freshmen Yvonne Choe and Charlotte Mayorkas are tied for 80th and 84th after recording rounds of 83 and 84, respectively.

Tulsa's Dani Mallon and Stacy Prammanasudh are tied for first after posting rounds of two-under par 70.
