Women's Golf In Eighth After First Round Of TRW Regional Challenge

The No. 12 USC women's golf team shot 306 in round one on Monday and sits in eighth place after the first day of the TRW Regional Challenge held at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.

USC trails team leader Tulsa by 23 strokes. Texas is second at 297 and Arizona is third with 301.

Junior Mikaela Parmlid shot 71 to lead the Women of Troy. She is in third place overall, two strokes behind Dana Mallon and Stacy Prammanasudh of Tulsa.

Also for USC, junior Becky Lucidi shot 80, sophomore Anna Rawson shot 76, freshman Fleming Helmstadter shot 82 (competing as an individual), sophomore Kelsey Durkin shot 86 and junior Yon Yim shot 79.

Round two resumes on Tuesday. The tournament completes play with round three on Wednesday.
