Husky Women's Golfers Open at Aztec Invitational

Seattle - The Washington women's golf team will opens the spring portion of its schedule at San Diego State's Aztec Invitational Feb. 17-18. The 36-hole tournament will be held at the Lake San Marcos Country Club. The course is a par-73, 6,040 setup.

This year's field includes San Diego State, Cal State Northridge, Colorado State, Denver, Hawaii, Illinois, Kent State, Long Beach State, Michigan, Northern Arizona, Oregon, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, Southern Illinois, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UNLV, Washington and Weber State.

Last year Michigan won the event with a 23-over score of 311. BYU's Carrie Summerhays captured medalist honors with a 1-under score of 71.

Washington's lineup for the Aztec Invitational will be: 1. Kelli Kamimura, 2. Louise Friberg, 3. Paige Mackenzie, 4. Michelle Grafos and 5. Lindsay Morgan.

The Huskies are ranked 20th in this week's GolfWeek standings and Kamimura is rated 28th among individual players.
