Oregon Ducks Are No Match for Sun Devils as They Win 6-1

EUGENE, Ore. -The University of Oregon women's tennis team played hard today , but were unable to defeat No. 7 Arizona State, who retain their unflawed record of three wins and no losses.

In singles, Arizona State took all the matches, but not without a fight from Ducks like Vickie Gunnarsson, who played hard but lost in the last set against ASU's junior Megan Yeats, the final score was 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

In doubles, The Sun Devils were just barely unable to pull off sweeping all the points.

Oregon's No. 1 doubles team Davina Mendiburu and Courtney Nagle defeated ASU's Megan Yeats and Cindy Sureephong, 8-2.

ASU fought back with Lauren Colalillo and Mhairi Brown defeating Adeline Arnard and Vickie Gunnarsson 8-2.

However, the Oregon doubles team that pulled out the win was Ester Bak and Janice Nyland, who defeated ASU's Adria Engel and Dora Krstulovic 8-6.

Up next the Sun Devils take on UCLA , on the road on Feb. 22 at 1:30 pm.
