Kraayeveld Picked Pac-10 Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - University of Oregon sophomore forward Cathrine Kraayeveld hasbeen named the Pac-10 Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb.11-17, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Monday.
Kraayeveld, from Kirkland, Wash., scored 16 points, grabbed eightrebounds and recorded three assists and one blocked shot in Oregon's84-83 overtime win at Oregon State on Feb. 16. Kraayeveld shot 8-of-13from the floor (.615) and contested Felicia Ragland's potentialgame-winner in regulation.
Kraayeveld ranks first on the squad in rebounding (7.8 rpg) and fieldgoal percentage (.514) and third in scoring at 9.2 ppg. In Pac-10 games,she is averaging 10.9 points and 9.6 rebounds, which ranks third in the conference, per game.
With the win over rival Oregon State, the Ducks improved to 9-7 in thePac-10 (14-11 overall) and trail fourth-place USC by one game headinginto the final weekend of regular-season play.
The Player of the Week honor is the first of Kraayeveld's career and the27th all-time selection for Oregon.
