Bruin Men Finish First at MPSF Indoor Championships

At the 2002 MPSF Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the Walkup Sky Dome in Flagstaff, AZ, the men finished first (132). The top-five men's teams were UCLA, Washington State (2nd, 117), Arizona (3rd, 89), Oregon (4th, 73) and Stanford (5th, 57).

Seniors Michael Lipscomb and Scott Moser led the men. Lipscomb won the 200m in 20.99 and was fourth (6.84) in the 60m dash. Moser was victorious in the weight throw (70' 10'/21.59m) and was sixth (59' 00'/17.98) in the shot put. Other Bruin winners were Nick Thornton, 800m (1:54.51), Jon Rankin, mile (4:23.43) and Juaune Armon, long jump (24' 11.25'/7.60m). The Bruin 4x400m relay team also won in 3:09.75.
