Three Stanford Crew Members Medal at World Indoor Rowing Championships

Boston, MA - Jamie Schroeder earned world champion honors at the CRASH-B ergometer race on Sunday, February 24. Jamie was the surprise of the day to everyone but the group back at Stanford as he finished first in the international event above many seasoned elite rowers as well as first out of 267 collegiate competitors in the 2000 meter event making him the first collegiate men's competitor to win the international event.

Also making the trip to Boston were women's team members Sabrina Kolker and Susan Be Ville. Kolker received top honors in the collegiate event and placed fifth in the world in the open women's category. Despite being diagnosed with strep throat Susan BeVille competed in the lightweight women's event taking third collegiately and twelfth in the world. The CRASH-B event is the final competition in a series of indoor rowing events held across the world culminating in Boston. For full results go to please go to
