Women's Golf Tied For 11th After First Round Of Arizona Invitational

Tucson, Ariz. - Junior Mikaela Parmlid and Becky Lucidi each shot 73 to lead No. 12 USC to a tie for 11th after one round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational held at The Raven Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz., on Mon.-Tues.

USC has an overall score of 305, tied with Stanford. Arizona is on top with a score of 294, followed by Texas (295), and UCLA and Duke (296).

Lorena Ochoa of Arizona and Courtney Swaim of Auburn each shot 67 to lead the individuals. Janice Olivencia of Texas is third (68), followed by Tina Schneeberger of Tennessee (69) and Yvonne Choe of UCLA (71).

Also for USC, sophomore Anna Rawson is tied for 58th (79), junior Yon Yim is tied for 67th (80), and sophomore Anna Lee is 96th (91).

Today's rounds were suspended due to darkness. Most teams will finish the second round tomorrow, then begin the third round immediately afterward.
