Wildcat Softball Tops Eagles, 10-0

TUCSON - Jenny Gladding pitched a two-hitter and the bottom and top ofArizona's lineup drove in the bulk of the runs in a 10-0 softball victoryover Eastern Michigan Wednesday afternoon.
The Cats (18-2) extended their school-record home winning streak to 58games. Eastern Michigan dropped to 2-6 overall.
EMU brought in its top pitcher, Marcy Mobley, to replace starter KristenAnderson in the top of the third, but the move didn't stop the Cats. UAscored five more runs, started by a bases-loaded walk by Jackie Coburn, apassed ball, a two-run single by nine-hole hitter Allyson Von Lichtensteinand a run-scoring single by Jung.
UA added an unearned run in the fourth after back-to-back one-out errorsby Eastern Michigan.
The Eagles had a single by Kristen Zabalavicius in the second and a singleby Christie Koester in the fourth for their only baserunners againstGladding, who struck out nine in the five-inning game. Gladding has won herlast five decisions after losing two in Phoenix early this month.
