Cougars Finish Out Season With 102-80 Rout Over Centenary

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - J. Locklier scored a career-high 40 points and grabbed11 rebounds as Washington State finished its season with a rare win, beatingCentenary 102-80 on Saturday.
Locklier hit 11-of-19 from the floor and 18-of-23 from the free-throw linefor the Cougars (6-21). His previous high was 27 points against Arizona on Jan.10.
Guard Andrew Wisniewski answered with 40 points of his own for the Gentlemen(14-13), also hitting 11-of-19 from the field, while connecting on 7 of 133-pointers and making 11-of-12 free throws.
Thomas Kelati added 13 points for the Cougars and Jerry McNair had 12.
Kevin Atamah scored 13 points for Centenary and DeAndre Cornelius added 10points and a team-high seven rebounds.
The game was close at the beginning as the lead changed hands eight times inthe first seven minutes, when neither team led by more than three points. TheCougars stretched their lead to 46-35 at intermission on an 8-2 run.
In the second half, WSU led by as many as 12 at 53-41 before a 10-2Centenary run brought the Gents to within 55-51 with just under 14 minutes toplay.
The Cougars finally took command with a 9-2 run to increase their lead to73-62 at the 8:24 mark.
The teams last met in December 1990, when Centenary was a 94-77 winner.
