Indoor Track And Field Qualifies 11 Athletes For NCAA Championships

Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford men's and women's indoor track and field team qualified 11 athletes in eight different events for the NCAA Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville on March 8th and 9th.
Junior Lauren Fleshman was the top women's qualifier, ranking first in the 3,000-meter run. Fleshman also qualified second in the mile run and will be joined by Malindi Elmore, Lindsay Hyatt and Christine Moschella in the distance medley relay. Elmore also qualified and is ranked third in the mile with a time of 4:39.88.
Jillian Camarena was the top field event qualifier, ranking fourth in the shot put for the Cardinal.
Donald Sage was the top qualifier on the men's side, ranking fifth in the mile run. Teammate Grant Robison also qualified in the mile and in the 3,00-meter run. Chris Emme and Seth Hejny will also be competing in the 3,000-meter run for Stanford.
The Cardinal will also have two individuals competing in the 5,000-meter run, including Emme and Louis Luchini. Stanford qualified one distance medley relay team, currently ranked seventh. The team consists of Sage, Hejny, Curtis Goehring and Robison.
