Ducks Second After First Day of Cleveland Golf Classic

Westlake Village, Calif.- The Oregon men's golf team wraps up first day of Cleveland Golf Classic trailing USC by two strokes. This 16-team tournament is being held in Westlake Village, Calif. at Northranch Country Club and hosted by Southern California. Oregon shot a two-round total of 583, while the Trojans on top leading with 581.
On top for Oregon is Senior Aaron Byers leading the Ducks with a four over par on the first round and a two under par on the second round concluding to a total of 144. Byers is also tied for seventh individually.
Junior John Ellis is tied for 15th with a score of 147 and Senior Brandon Harnden is tied for 17th with 148. Sophomore Mike Sica and Junior Chris Carnahan are both tied at 27th with a score of 150 after the two-rounds of golf today.
Usc leads the tournment with 581, Ducks in second with 583, Washington is third with 586, and Fresno State is not far behind in fourth with a total score of 587.
The Cleveland Golf Classic will resume play on Tuesday March 5 with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start off the 1st and 10th tees.
