LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The USC women's rowing team kicks-off its 2002 spring season this Saturday, March 23, when it hosts San Diego State at 9 a.m. at the USC boathouse located at Berth 192 in the port of Los Angeles.

The Trojans last raced on Nov. 4 at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival where the Varsity Eight placed first, finishing nearly one minute ahead of second-place finisher UC Davis and 1:11 ahead of fifth-place finisher San Diego State.

Having already started the spring racing season, the Aztecs are coming off a pair of third-place finishes for the Varsity Eight and Novice Eight crews against 2001 ACC champion Virginia last Saturday (March 16) at the Rivianna Reservoir in Charlottesville, Vir.
