Women's Golf Hosts Oregon Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's golf team will host the fifth Oregon Duck Invitational Thursday and Friday at the 5,975-yard, par-71 Mallard Creek Golf Course in Lebanon, Ore. This will be the first Oregon Duck Classic since the fall of 1999.

No. 17 Washington heads the 15-team field that includes Boise State, Brigham Young, Colorado, Colorado State, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana State, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Washington State and host Oregon.

Oregon will field a team consisting of senior Kathy Cho, sophomore Lacy Erickson and freshmen Jaime Seefried Jess Carlyon and Johnna Nealy. Juniors Annie Davis and Kim Melrose and sophomore Katie Cunningham will compete as individuals.

The last Oregon Duck Invitational, played Sept. 27-28 at Creswell's Emerald Valley Resort, was won by California, who was six strokes better than runner-up Oregon.

Teams will play two rounds Thursday beginning at 8:00 a.m., with the final round to be played on Friday.
