Men's Tennis Defeated By #20 California

The No. 52-ranked University of Oregon men's tennis team ran into a tough No. 20-ranked California squad on Saturday. The Bears defeated Oregon 7-0 at the Hellman Tennis Complex, sweeping all matches on the way to the win.

Oregon battled in singles play, with junior Oded Teig and freshman Manuel Kost working three sets before giving way to a Bears victory.

'We played better today,' said Oregon head coach Chris Russell. 'But we're looking forward to playing at home.'

The win for Cal improves their record to 13-3, while Oregon falls to 12-5. Up next, the Ducks will host the Sun Devils of Arizona State on Friday, April 5, at 1:00 p.m. at the Student Tennis Center.
