Marshall Wins Gold At FINA SC World Championships With US Relay Team

Moscow, Russia - Action opened today at the FINA Short Course World Championships in Moscow, Russa. Stanford swimmers Peter Marshall (Atlanta, GA) and Markus Rogan (Wien, Austria) are participating in the event for the United States and Austria respectively.
The U.S. men's 400m free relay won gold and set an American record. The team of Scott Tucker (Seminole, Fla./Irvine Novas), Peter Marshall (Atlanta, Ga./Stanford), Jason Lezak (Irvine, Calif./Irvine Novas) and Keller touched in 3:10.64, to break the previous mark of 3:10.98 set by Tucker, Josh Davis, Sabir Muhammad and Neil Walker at the 2000 World Short Course Championships.
Finals for Thursday include the men's 400m IM, 100m back, 100m breast, 100m fly and 800m free relay as well as the women's 50m breast, 100m back and 800m free.
