Three Beavers Card 78 At PING/ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Oregon State women's golf team remained in 13th place at the PING/Arizona State Invitational after the team shot a 316 during the second round Saturday.
OSU sophomore Laura Skinner is tied for 33rd overall after a 6-over-par 78. Ashlei Pendleton and Kelly Ferris also had a score of 78 for the Beavers. Pendleton is tied for 40th and Ferris is tied for 48th.
Oregon State trails 12th place Washington by 13 strokes and holds a two-stroke lead over No. 22 New Mexico State, and a seven-stroke lead over Oregon.
Tulsa leads the team standings after shooting a 291 Saturday. Arizona State, Arizona and UCLA are all within eight strokes of Tulsa.
Texas, New Mexico and Stanford were in a three-way tie for first following Friday's opening round. Ten of the 15 teams competing are ranked in the nation's top 25.
The tournament concludes with 18 holes Sunday.
