UCLA in the Rankings . . .
As a team, the Bruins moved up one spot to No. 7 in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Rankings released on Wednesday. Ojai Just Around the Corner . . .
The Pac-10 Championships are scheduled for April 25-28 in Ojai, Calif. UCLA's Megan Bradley and Sara Walker will no doubt be favorites to take home the singles crown, while the Bruin duo's of Petya Marinova/Walker and Bradley/Lauren Fisher will be vying for the doubles championship. The Bruin duo of Mariko Fritz-Krockow and Walker are the defending Pac-10 Champs after defeating teammates Fisher/Marinova, 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 in last year's final.

Head Coach Stella Sampras . . .
Stella Sampras is currently in her sixth season as the head coach of the UCLA women's tennis program with a career record of 90-56. Sampras became only the third head coach in UCLA women's tennis history when she was named the successor to longtime head coach Bill Zaima, who announced his retirement effective the end of the 1995-96 season. In her first five seasons at UCLA, Sampras guided the Bruins to four top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships, including two top-5 showings (1997 and 2000). In 2000, she was named the ITA West Region Coach of the Year.
