Rowing Faces 18th-Ranked Iowa On Saturday

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The USC women's rowing team will face Iowa on Saturday, April 13, in a head-to-head competition held at the Long Beach Marine Stadium at the Pete Archer Rowing Center. The Trojans' Varsity Eight crew is ranked No. 9 in this season's first US Rowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I poll. Iowa is ranked No. 18.
The JV Eight and Novice boats will be the first to race at 8:30 a.m. The Varsity Four race begins at 9 a.m. and the Varsity Eights will race at 9:30 a.m.
The Hawkeyes are coming off a successful race last week against Wisconsin. The Varsity Eight and Varsity Four boats both captured victories, while the JV and Novice boats finished second to the Badgers. Iowa has advanced to the NCAA Championships three out of the last five years and placed ninth at the 2001 championships.
Last week, the Trojans' Varisty Eight won the Jessop Whittier Cup Petite Finals and the Novice Eight boat finished 12th on the final day of the 29th Annual San Diego Crew Classic on Sunday, April 7. USC's JV Eight was eliminated after crossing the finish line sixth in its first heat.

Take the 110 South to the 405 South (towards Long Beach). Exit Bellflower Blvd. Stay right at the fork in the ramp. Turn Left onto E. Los Coyotes Diagonal. Turn Right onto N. Bellflower Blvd. (go 2.5 miles). Turn Right onto E. Colorado St. Turn Left onto Winslow Ave. Turn Right onto E. Eliot St. Turn Left onto Boathouse Lane.
