Men's Golf In Third After Third Round Of Pac-10 Championships

Sophomore Scott Oxandaboure and freshman Ben Hayes each shot 72 on Friday to keep the No. 9 USC men's golf team just two strokes out of the lead with one round remaining of the 2002 Pac-10 golf championships held at Trysting Tree Golf Course.

USC has a 54-hole total of 1085, just behind Stanford and Oregon State (1083). No other team is within 17 strokes, as Oregon is fourth (1103) and Arizona fifth (1104).

Senior Kevin Stadler is fourth after shooting a 73 today to bring his total to 213. He is three strokes behind leader Jim Seki of Stanford (210). Philip Rowe, also of Stanford, is tied for second with Michael Jurgensen of Oregon State at 212.

Oxandaboure is tied for ninth (216), while Hayes is tied for 12th (217). Junior David Oh is tied for 29th (223), while junior Chris Botsford and freshman Nico Bollini are tied for 33rd (224).

The final round tees off at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
