TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona men's golfers Chris Nallen and Ricky Barnes were both named all-Pacific-10 Conference in voting released by the league's head coaches.

Nallen, a sophomore from Blairstown, N.J., earned first team accolades after compiling a team-leading 71.29 stroke average through 12 events in 2001-02. He has posted top-20 finishes in 11 of those 12 events, including five top-10 efforts. A semifinalist for the Hogan Award, Nallen has 21 rounds at par or better this season, and has carded eight rounds in the 60s. He finished in a tie for 19th place at last week's Pac-10 Conference Championships and was a second team all-Pac-10 pick as a freshman in 2001.

Barnes, a junior from Stockton, Calif., was named to the second team after posting a sixth-place finish at last week's Pac-10 Championships, his second-best placing of the year. Through 12 events this season, Barnes ranks second on the Wildcat roster with a 72.46 stroke average, including six top-20 finishes for better. Barnes has 15 rounds at par or better on the year, including four rounds in the 60s. The Golf World magazine preseason Player of the Year, Barnes was a first team selection in both 2000 and 2001.

The Arizona men's golf team will next be in action on May 16-18 at the NCAA West Regional in Albuquerque, N.M.
