Bruins and Titans to Resume April 23rd Contest After Protest Upheld

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - UCLA and Cal State Fullerton will replay the ninth inning of the April 23rd baseball game when the Bruins travel to Fullerton for a game on May 21st.

The April 23rd game, won by Cal State Fullerton, 9-7, was played under protest when the Titans batted out of order in the top of the ninth inning. UCLA Head Coach Gary Adams protested at the point of the infraction, and the Southern California Collegiate Baseball Umpires Association ruled that the final inning will be replayed.

At the time of the infraction, Cal State Fullerton led 7-6 with a runner on first base. The replay will start with a runner on first and one out.

The replayed contest will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Goodwin Field. The previously scheduled contest for May 21st will start no earlier than 7:00 p.m. as originally scheduled.
