On May 29th, UCLA quarterback Cory Paus visited with the second grade at Will Rogers Elementary School in Santa Monica, CA. Paus met with the children on the play ground and talked to them about college, football and life as a UCLA student-athlete.

'It was wonderful to have Cory visit with our students,' said second grade teacher Rebecca Brown. 'They were very excited to meet him and asked so many questions. 'Does it hurt to play quarterback?', 'Do you get to dance when you score a touchdown?', 'When did you start playing football?' I think they were particular impressed when he said he started playing football when he was seven - just the age they are now.'

Paus expressed similar sentiments. 'It was a lot of fun. It was great to be able to talk to that many kids and get a chance to point them in the right direction and share my experiences with them. They were also very eager to tell me about the things they are studying and we talked about a lot of different things.'

At the end of the discussion, Paus called on a few volunteers to catch some passes and to demonstrate some practice drills. The students tried on various pieces of equipment, including size 17 shoes, while Paus signed autographs.
