Rob Evans To Host Annual Charity Golf Tournament

ASU men's basketball coach Rob Evans will be hosting his fifth annual charity golf tournament this fall on Thursday, October 3, at the Phantom Horse Golf Club at the Pointe South Mountain Resort. The tournament benefits the Tempe Diablos and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m., with the shotgun scramble start at 12:45 p.m, with awards following at the dinner.
The tournament has an entry fee of $300 to play, or $1,200 for a foursome. Hole sponsorships are also available for $1,800. The deadline for registration is September 16. The BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF THE EAST VALLEY is a leading youth development agency that has been serving local youth since 1963. Nine branches and teen centers, together with an arts-based charter school, serve more than 11,000 youth annually in Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, Guadalupe, Mesa, Tempe, and the Gila River Indian Community. Programs are offered after school and during the summer for youth, ages 6-18, in the areas of recreation, education, peer leadership, computer training and the arts. The Club has received national recognition for its efforts and is one of the leading Boys & Girls Clubs in the nation.
The TEMPE DIABLOS is a civic-minded organization devoted to the promotion of the City of Tempe. Organized in 1968 to promote Spring Training Baseball in Tempe, its efforts have distinguished it to be among the top community service project sponsors in the nation. The organization currently works to fund scholarships and youth and community programs in Tempe.
