Women's Volleyball Junior April Ross Named Radisson/Nike Classic MVP

Muncie, Ind. - At the conclusion of the Radisson Hotel Roberts/Nike Classic on Monday (Sept. 2), six players were selected to an all-tournament team, in addition to a tournament MVP. USC, which garnered the tournament title trophy by defeating Ball State 3-0, Pittsburgh 3-0 and No. 2 Nebraska 3-0, had two players honored.

Junior outside hitter April Ross was named tournament MVP and placed on the all-tournament team after guiding the Women of Troy to the three-match sweep. She led the team with an average of 4.44 kills, 3.56 digs and 4.78 points per game.

Sophomore Keao Burdine was also honored on the all-tournament team after averaging a .329 attack percentage, 4.22 kills, 3.22 digs, 0.56 blocks and 4.56 points per game.

Also taking home all-tournament honors were Ball State's Katie Butts, Pittsburgh's Wendy Hatlestad and Nebraska's Amber Holmquist and Laura Pilakowski.
