Men's And Women's Tennis Players Earn Preseason Rankings

Skillman, NJ - The Stanford men's and women's tennis programs each have four singles and two doubles teams ranked in the Preseason Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings, released Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
David Martin is the highest ranked singles player for the Cardinal men, ranked No. 11. Ryan Haviland (22), Scott Lipsky (32) and KC Corkery (93) also represent Stanford. Lipsky and Martin are the second ranked doubles team, just 10 votes behind top-ranked Jean-Julien Rojer and Marcin Matkowski of UCLA. Haviland and Sam Warbur stand at No. 33 in the preseason poll.
For the Cardinal women, who are coming off their national championship, Erin Burdette paces Stanford with a No. 7 ranking. Lauren Barnikow is tied for 15th with Amanda Johnson of Duke and Mississippi's Mira Radu. Amber Liu (67) and Emilia Anderson (T100) are also ranked by the ITA poll. Barnikow and Burdette are the fifth ranked women's doubles team, while Alice Barnes and Amber Liu are ranked 43rd.
