Women's Basketball To Host One Additional Youth Clinic

Sept. 18, 2002

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Washington women's basketball team is adding one more free youth clinic to its schedule, to be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Meany Middle School in Seattle.

The clinic, for girls ages 13 and under, is free of charge and includes instruction from current Husky players. All girls in attendance will receive a free t-shirt. The Huskies held a series of youth clinics at Seattle area community centers during the month of August and have added one more opportunity for girls to attend.

The Husky Women's Hoops camps are designed to get children excited about going to college and perhaps playing college basketball, while the UW women's basketball team gets a chance to give back to the community.

For more information, please contact Brieah Marino at 206-615-0520. Registration forms can be mailed to Frank Cammarano, c/o Citywide Athletics, 5201 Green Lake Way North, Seattle, WA, 98103.
