Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - OREGON STATE junior forward Alan Gordon has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 17-23, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Gordon, from Gilbert, Ariz., tallied three goals and one assist on the weekend as the Beavers (6-1-0 overall, 0-0-0 Pac-10) won a pair of non-conference road matches. In the 6-2 win at Marist College, Gordon notched two goals and assisted on another. He notched the game-winning goal in the 1-0 shutout win at Siena College. Gordon has 13 points on the season (6 goals, 1 assist).

Oregon State is off to its best start since 1994 and has registered four shutouts in seven games, two more than its total from the 2001 season.

This is the first weekly honor for Gordon and the fourth all-time Player of the Week honor for Oregon State.
